If you do some searching you can find an example of a gentleman who did have a hitch installed. I don't remember if the plastic that needs to be trimmed is R63 specific or if it's a common R class piece. As far as ability, I think it's well within the abilities of the van. It's just a longer M63 and that was rated at 5K.
