I asked him to do whatever is necessary to bring it up to SS standards ( 112 hp DIN appr. 129 hp SAE) I heard, that Alfa was never very careful to put the engine with the 'correct' number into matching chassis, but I don`t know, if that is true. No mustache bars and the headlight rims didn\u2019t fit. The 1750 engine only had velocity stacks and wire mesh to keep out sparrows. Slow off the line but a scary top end as it would dance above 220 KPH. I can say that telephone poles do look like a picket fence at 240 KPH. Rock solid below 220 which is what cruise was on the autostrada. Got looks EVERYWHERE. We pulled into the Italian GP and were immediately waved to the parking lot with nothing but Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis are high end cars. Your car is much superior to what I had, minus the drive train. What a wonderful car and I wish I had never sold it. I still get chest pains from that mistake.
