And on delivery, in the fuse panel between the rear seats, pull fuse 19. It opens the exhaust to full throttle mode and stays open. It is an XK. These are marvelous reliable cars. 2007 was the first year of this model, and some owners feel it was the most sorted and reliable of the line. Minor complaints are AC water dripping into passenger foot well; and leather dash shrink. The electrics on this model were fully sorted during the Ford era, but it is still sensitive to battery voltage - change battery every 4 years.\r\nIt is a great touring car. I get almost 30mpg @70 mph. Plenty of luggage room. It is also a good daily driver. To put it plainly, it drives like it has 21k miles on it but it handles MUCH better than stock. I had a 05 XKR with the handling package and I\u2019m going off memory but it feels like this one handles much better than that one. The aftermarket springs really transformed this car and it handles REALLY well\u2026to use the old clich\u00e9\u2026\u201clike it is on rails.\u201d Now, with that said, there is always a tradeoff: the ride IS firm and it may not be to everyone\u2019s liking\u2026although my wife never complained about it. I have had it up well in excess of the speed limit with no vibration noted.\r\n\r\nI replaced the brake pads with Power Stop Z3 pads when I installed the springs (the stock pads were fine but I was there so I thought I would try for the upgrade). These pads have really good grip and stopping power but they do require a bit more pedal pressure than one would think and they seem to like to be warm. Even though they are very quiet, I think I would use different pads if I were doing it again but it doesn\u2019t bother me enough to change them now. \r\n\r\nBack to options, I had to look it up but the option that included the leather dash (and other items) was called the Luxury Package (or the Aluminum Luxury Package). As I noted below, this car does not have that package\u2026nor does it have the Technology Package with the Adaptive Cruise Control. It does have the optional Alpine Premium Sound Package. It is interesting to note that there weren\u2019t very many options for these cars.\r\n\r\nFinally, I thought I would share a pic of the car prior to all of the modifications. This picture was taken right after I drove it back from Knoxville and shows the stock wheels, rockers, front end, etc. As is the case with all of the original parts, the stock wheels go with the car but note that they no longer have tires. The process is discussed thoroughly in various threads on the Jaguar Forum. The \"pulling dash\" is also not a rare issue, particularly in Southern and Southwestern states. To prevent it from pulling always use a sunshade when parked in direct heat (90+ degrees) and apply a leather conditioner monthly. If it should happen, it is an expensive fix depending upon how you do it or get it done. This issue is also discussed thoroughly on the Forum in various threads. I myself am on my third XK, the current one being a 13 XKR Portfolio vert. Yes, I have a loan on it that will need to be paid off to receive the title so there will be a delay for that. The degree of delay will depend on the method of payment with wire transfer being the quickest way to get the title. Regardless, I will work with the buyer on their preferred payment method and I will pay the fees to have the title sent via overnight service. Also, once I verify funds from the buyer, I will provide the buyer with a bill of sale and, if there is a delay on the title, the buyer can drive the car using my tags and registration (if desired) until we receive the title. I have been in touch with my credit union and they do not put a hold on a bank check or a cashier's check and they will process the title release within 24 hours. They DO put a 10-day hold on a personal or business check so if that is the method of payment, the buyer and I will need to work something out....and I will need to verify funds prior to releasing the car.
