If you import a 1983 Defender it has to come as it was equipped for a 1983 - so either a 3.5 L V8, a 2.25 or 2.5 L 4 cylinder petrol engine or a 2.5 L NA diesel engine. Options in transmissions were a 4 speed LT95 trans or an LT85. I'm not sure LT77's were available at this point. \r\nWe have seen a couple of Arkonik rigs in our shop. Very nice builds but limited power as equipped. If you are a flat lander just putting around it would be great. If you want to go over high mountain passes on interstates, not so good. You can tweak a 3.5 engine fairly easily.
