So I thought I would chime in as an owner of a very nearly identical car, although mine was automatic. As for maintenance, there is, if memory serves, zero \"yearly maintenance\" called for on these cars. That is the reason I purchased it... so it could be driven daily. I bought the car at Ferrari of Atlanta, and took a road trip with my 10 year old son the long way (south), then west, then north along the Pacific Coast. That was 10 days well spent, and pretty epic. We got pulled over for cruising at about 140mph and were ticketed and released. The ticket was dismissed, because we were running from 13 tornados in New Mexico that the officer for some reason was not impressed by... even after they had killed a dozen people while we watched from the roadside receiving the ticket. The car had 8,900 miles on it when I purchased it, and I sold it in 2013 with around 25k miles. The car was as reliable as my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. For anyone talking about reliability, the only reason this car would have reliability issues is it needs to be driven. This is pretty well true of anything that sits around, but definitely true of this car for some reason I don't completely understand. I drove mine daily, and didn't do anything except for oil changes. That includes in the rain (I lived in Seattle at the time.) I did upgrade the brakes to GT because they look better. I only did this because I tracked the car once at Pacific Raceways near Seattle, and I accidentally warped the rotors being stupid(er than usual.) This car, if you actually drive it daily, will run without any issues at all and completely reliably. It'll even give you good gas mileage that you won't even believe is possible with a v12, or even a v8, or even some v6's. My car was all black and automatic, but otherwise the same car as the seller's. The seller hasn't mentioned it, but there appear to be a number of options on this car, one of the most important is the factory stainless sport exhaust which sounds beautiful. I think the other sound system is also upgraded because of the trunk amp. The seats are also an option and fit so perfectly (I'm 6'3\" 200#'s). I know Jeremy Clarkson complained about his head being too close to the ceiling, but I haven't heard anyone else complain about that except my tall buddy who is all torso and no legs. As for serviceability, this car is easy to service yourself, and you can source parts easily. Many of the parts are Jaguar (please, no beating up on Jaguar) and readily and cheaply available. The car is not wrenchingly powerful, but under acceleration, it just keeps pulling, and pulling, and pulling harder. Do not turn off the traction control, you will be sorry. The car does get very front-end light around 160mph so make sure you are on level ground if you do it. As a member of the PNW Ferrari Club, I took this car to many events. The crowds were as large or larger around my DB7 as they were for just about any other car there. If you plan to drive this car (which you should), you will find it completely reliable and just as easy to drive and see out of as almost any car made. AMOC (Aston Martin Owners Club) has fantastic online resources that tell you everything about the car you need to know. I also have electronic service manual for it if anyone wants a copy just message me. Sexy and beautiful and wonderful lines ? For sure. But it was a decades old design with terrible ergonomics and a few Honda parts thrown in for good measure (side mirrors and side marker lamps, to name a few). I never experienced the coil problem that I hear about so often, but was vexed by a power steering fluid leak that just would not quit and a \"check engine\" dash light that lit up for every reason other than an engine problem. It was on so often I felt like a NYC taxi driver.\r\n\r\nCompared to the standard and very non-exotic cars of its vintage (your basic middle of the line Audi, BMW, etc.) the electronics (A/C; Stereo; navigation) were a joke. But it is easy to forget those things when you are driving a beautiful V-12. This buyer got a great deal on what looks like a well cared for DB7. Our 2004 Navigator certainly gets weak after a week or so.\r\nMy 1990 F250 diesel can sit for months since there's almost nothing electronic on it.\r\n\r\nMy definition for \"modernish\" is generally anything that has some sort of computer control for the engine and certainly anything with OBDII (1996+)\r\n\r\nAnyway, definitely I'm a fan of battery tenders on cars that aren't used frequently, perhaps the DB7 is a bit abnormal, but I wouldn't panic over a 10 day drain. \r\n\r\nYes the DB7 ergonomics are a little odd..
