My good friends Dad had a 405 DL (base model) automatic, so not the right spec but I liked the dynamics, so I searched high and low for a Mi16 as they were really rare even then! ~5 years and 50k additional miles and it was an amazing car, we named him \"Pierre\". The motor is a gem, not incredibly powerful but LOVES to rev and had a great soundtrack. Great light steering with wonderful feedback and some of the best seats I had sat in (US models got heated, leather seats standard. Love the cloth on this one, but would miss the heat!). Reliability wise it actually was on par with most mid-90's European stuff, which is to say not Japanese like but perfectly palatable for your average car guy. My only real complain was the interior plastics felt and sounded (rattles!) cheap. If I hadn't promised my self I would stop buying cars I don't need, but REALLY want I would be a bidder. Trust me, for the fairly modest amount his car will bring (in the grand scheme of BAT) you will get that back 3x in the smiles!
