I did a simple plugs/cap/wires/rotor/oil/filter. All brakes pads were checked, showing even wear with plenty of life in all, all calipers working freely, and the rotors are worn evenly and shiny. No play in ball joints or tie rod ends. This was down in the Dominican Republic, so we'd commonly sit 8 or 9 people in it! So imagine learning to drive while in lawless traffic, with poorly conditioned hilly roads chock full of potholes and mud puddles... all with that super wimpy engine (I remember daydreaming about an E12 model, haha). It took me months and months to make it through a whole day without stalling the engine. I still remember the shock I felt with the next manual-transmission that I got to drive... a 6-cylinder Camaro. I thought I was warping in the USS Enterprise!
