The main difference in an M motor and the one here is that the LeMans kit did not come with high compression pistons. This car had a quite extensive and expensive rebuild including what we used to call \"balancing and blueprinting\" along with head work that would likely increase power over a stock M. I didn't see on the list, though, that higher compression pistons were added at the time of rebuild. Two 12v Miata batteries are fitted.\r\nMany new parts were added at rebuild, including pistons. I have a pile of invoices which I will include. Read the labor invoice. No expense was spared. This engine certainly has compression. Watch the cold start video.\r\nCockpit surrounds need some massaging. The rear is not original. Front and door may have been kicked around. \r\nDoor latches, hinges need a little more work as well.\r\nEverything has been stripped, sandblasted and painted.
