In all seriousness, mine is a 98 TSi, black over black. I flipped over 307,000 today. I've had two \"major\" repairs in that mileage. The PO had put snow tires on it ...a different size, on just the rear and burned up the VC. This put the front axle in a bind and stripped the teeth off the pinon shaft. So I had to rebuild the front pumpkin when I bought it. About 50k ago the water pump decided to cash it in. As many of you with a similar unit know, it took the radiator with it. \n\nThats it. In 307,000 an owner-caused failure and a water pump. You can work around the VC by keeping the same sized tires all the way around and not do too much tight turning (as in lots of wheel-locked u turns, etc). \n\nThese aren't trucks...they're tanks. Wonderfully comfortable tanks. My wife loves the heated seats in the winter (this is Colorado). The heater will run you out on high. The AC will freeze your..things.. off in summer. While not regularly I pull a trailer with my FV with all the supplies for a weekend of racing. Take care of this and you may not need another vehicle for many decades. You'll have to put it in your will. \n\nLocally (Denver CO area), a similar white ZJ with 65k on it sold for $10,500 on CL last year. There's one on there right now with 202k and offered at $7,500. If I were in the market for another I'd be all over this. But, I just met a guy getting fuel on Friday that had 350k on his. So, its a game...how far can/will it go? Like @DHW, I've accumulated 225K miles. Tires, brakes, one radiator, AC compressor, and rear diff bearing and front end bushings/ tie rods have been the only costs. The motor and transmission are as tight as the day I bought it. I've been very good about fluid changes, etc. Recently, I installed new GY Wrangler \"Duratrac\" white letter tires that give it that OEM original look plus great mud/ snow traction. The original headlights had the plastic fade blues and I did little research and discovered E code Euro headlights that were installed in German Grand Cherokees. Made of glass instead of plastic, they are WAY better than domestic lights and look factory. I DD a 5.9 with 140k on it and leave my 2018 F350 at home most days. ZJs are super simple to work on (helps having owned and modified ZJs for 20 years) and quite nimble and capable. Parts are pretty easy to find, and decent aftermarket support. I have a 95 ZJ that is highly modded on 35s as well. Scratches look like the works of a mischief of magpies hanging out for a brief moment. Low mile, garaged, well maintained straight axle suv's from the 90's are hard to find for under 10k. Jump on them when you can. IMO this jeep is easily worth more then 10k.
