They were heavy and sat nice and low despite the leaf springs out back . The good old days and 8 mpg in traffic 13 on the road with a tailwind . Aside from that this appears to be a very low mileage car in a nice color combo that is in excellent condition. The mileage seems accurate given the terrific condition of the upholstery, dash and brake pedal. It reminds me of the blue \u201965 Lincoln sedan that my grandparents bought new which aside from color was a twin to the gold \u201965 sedan that my parents bought at the same time in December \u201864. \r\nI was only a lad of 6 years old and I remember when my father first brought the car home and parked it in our garage. It was love at first sight and I immediately hopped into the driver\u2019s seat and began to play-drive the car. I was having so much fun my parents had a hard time convincing me to leave the car and come for dinner! A few years later my parents traded in the \u201965 Lincoln on a \u201969 Cadillac. Years later my grandmother was still driving her \u201965 Lincoln but she eventually gave up driving and I ended up with her car in the mid \u201880s. I loved the \u201965 sedan and it was in decent running condition but I had always wanted a convertible. \r\nA few years later in \u201987 I found a \u201967 Lincoln convertible that I wanted. It needed everything but I really wanted a convertible so I bought it, threw in a water pump in the driveway of the seller (not an easy task on these due to the weight of the pump and the front hinged hood) and drove it home. I first concentrated on getting it in good driving condition and over the course of a couple of months I worked to produce a reliable running summer cruiser. I had both cars for a few years but I ended up selling the \u201965 sedan to raise funds to do the restoration on my \u201967 convertible. About 10 years later I did bodywork, paint and interior on my \u201867 and I have owned it ever since. These Lincolns drive beautifully when they are properly sorted and can cruise on the highway with confidence and comfort at 75 MPH all day long. Driving my \u201967 always puts a smile on my face.\r\nThis is a beautiful car that is in great condition and has a really nice color combo.
