That is because they are both original to the car, and I have never seen both on another Jolly. \r\n\r\nThe original top has been reinforced at the rubbing points of the rear top bows to the top, new, correct fringe replaced last year, and has been stripped and redressed about every 4 years under my ownership as normal, preventative maintenance. The top is not permanently connected to the bows , can be easily removed from the bows, and retained for prosperity should someone want to install a new top while still being able to save and present from time to time the IRREPLACEABLE original top and wonderful patina. \r\n\r\n The rear seat and the passenger front seat are also original (the driver's seat was re-wickered sometime in the 1970's). They too, all retain a beautiful patina that cannot, under any circumstances be duplicated. They have been cleaned, treated, repaired as necessary and re-shellacked approximately ever 4 years under my wing. He paid our expenses to come look at it, and then had it taken from the island and shipped to me so I could rebuild the transmission and get it operational again.\r\nWhen it was time to go home, the costs to take it back to the island was too high, so it went off to his other home in the Palm Springs area, where it was driven for years.
