Is the heater blower built into the air intake box at the front of the engine compartment? I don't see the Smiths snail shaped blower casing and there's wiring going into the air intake. Either way, it's a very clean installation. Finally, is that an engine compartment lamp at the rear edge of the hood opening? I also like how the gas filler cap is under the trunk lid but physically separated from the trunk compartment. The tail lights and front lights were New Old Stock, and the front running lights were actually used on some rare Ferrari. The trunk floor replacement involved using a Sprite pan, but modifying it to use because of the differences in the fuel inlet. The headliner is a direct copy of the original VW/Mercedes material with holes. The carpet was also copied from the original using German Square Weave carpet. One of the more challenging tasks was locating a front windshield seal. It was a one of a kind profile and we had to search several extrusion company catalogs to find the profile, which was un-identified in the catalog. We had to make a paper template of the glass and send it to Italy. The company then made the extrusion, fabricated a hard copy of the template and installed the extrusion onto the hard copy after joining the splice. Then it was cured in an oven so that the corners were formed properly.
