I figured I'd provide a few additonal notes on the car:\r\n1. The BlueTooth adapter for the radio is installed behind the dash and plugs into the CD Changer port for the radio. It is completely reversible with nothing modified in the system. This car never had a CD Changer, so the plug was not previously in use. It streams audio and skip /repeat tracks and allows you to accept / reject calls from the head unit. The adapter also has the ability to accept a line in 'headphone' input, play directly from a USB stick or run a USB remote phone charge wire. I didn't bother implementing any of those, but the new buyer may want the additonal features. The standard radio AM/FM and all head unit button functionality remain unchanged\r\n2. Pics of the factory subframe seam welds are included in the photo gallery and are in good shape (common Z3 weak point on higher power cars, which this really isn't).\r\n3. The seats don't shimmy or rock that I have noticed (common Z3 issue)\r\n4. Original Z3 clutch pedals were very flimsy and twisted when actuated. The ECS clutch pedal kit is a newer version of the \"Ron Stygar\" kit that fixes the issue and makes the clutch actuation much more pleasant. Some info here: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/drivetrain/e36_remove_clutch_pedal_slop.html This install was done by my mechanic. Original clutch pedal and bushings are in the box in the trunk if someone wants to revert to stock.\r\n5. I installed the OEM trunk finger lift that came on later generation cars. It is amazing how much a small thing like that improves ergonomics. Opening the trunk by pulling up on the key in the lock always felt wrong. \r\n6. There is a box in the trunk that will come with the car that includes all BMW documentation that was delivered with the car, the original odometer statement showing 48 miles at time of delivery, the original window sticker, all maintenance records from Ottos BMW and Bavarian Specialties, a Bentley Service Manual, a Peak round plug OBD code reader, the original clutch and parts, the center console ashtray and Cassette Holder. The Cassette Holder is loaded with the original BMW Z3 new owner cassette. \r\n7. I just purchased and installed the new BMW OEM Z3 black floor mats that are seen in some of the pictures. BMW no longer makes tan mats for Z3s, but I think the black look good. I have the original tan floormats that will come with the car but are a bit faded and tattered (if that is a word).\r\n8. If anyone has follow up questions about the PPI, my mechanic is happy to field calls and discuss the car. He is a very well known BMW Indy shop and very active in the BMWCCA and SCCA community. Use the contact seller button and I'll put you in touch with him.\r\n7. When I had the PPI completed, I also had the Pennsylvania State Inspection completed and the 4/20-4/21 stickers added. The inspection was due, and I figured it was better to be fully up to date than to have any BAT member questions. It's a driver's car, and these are very undervalued compared to the M's. I'm happy with how the auction is tracking, but generally speaking it blows me away that S2ks are trading for 2x the value of these cars. I've spent a good amount of time driving a buddy's S2k and I never enjoyed how hard you had to wring it out to get it to do anything. This car's engine has enough torque to get off the line and a much smoother engine to rev up if you want to. I know its a matter of choice but I'd take this car over a miata, s2k, slk, TT, etc at the same price, let alone at 1/2 price. Plus I think its just a great visual design and pretty timeless (again personal taste). I think whoever wins this should have a pretty low cost of ownership experience commensurate with maintaining miles.
