With your car insured, when you arrive at the USA border, you need to prove compliance with the DOT Form HS-7 and the EPA Form 3520-1 assuming the buyer is importing it on his own.\n\nOn Canadian R63s, there is no FMVSS certificate label, only a Transport Canada label. One way is to get a letter from Mercedes Canada or USA stating that the 2007 R63 conforms to all applicable FMVSS standards. For complete DOT guidelines, visit the NHTSA website for all current rules.\n\nUnder the hood of the R63, the good news is that in regards to EPA standards, there is already a label certifying it for all of USA AND California.\n\nAnd in regards to Duties of 2.5%, vehicles manufactured in NAFTA countries are exempt and in the case of the R63 as most of us know, it was made in Alabama USA!
