The bike is in beautiful low mileage original condition - hopefully the pictures show that. The bike is like new condition, it had the original tires (dated 1975) when I got the bike. I don't know any history on the bike other than I am the 3rd owner. The carbs were rebuilt and tuned using Randakk approved vendor (Bear) and Randakk/Honda components (receipt is included in pictures). I added receipt pictures that show that I replaced all fuel lines, bulbs, components/etc with Honda OEM (except the brake lines and timing belt, timing belt is made by OEM Japanese manufacture) whenever possible. Bike runs perfectly. I had a 76 GL1000 in college (1984) with Windjammer...wanted to renew the kinship (sans Windjammer), and am surprised/impressed at how powerful/modern this bike is even Today. I am no expert but paint looks original to me - I have seen other 76 GL's in black (with blue/gold stripes - example: YouTube: \"Honda Goldwing GL1000 1976 Test Ride and Specs\") so is it possible they painted some 76's with the 77 color scheme (and 77 seat?)? The '77 GL had chrome header shields, \"75&'76 were black. There should be a \"preserve nature\" decal under the fuel gauge, but that could have been peeled off( to paint). To me it points to a very good repaint. Graphic kits are available for all these colors. A repaint in one stage black would be easier than trying to match Honda colors of the era as there is very little information from Japan.
