Maintenance cost has been surprisingly low certainly much less than many have said on these sites before.\r\n3 things you can expect 1) Fuel pumps get hot and cause vapor lock after about 25,000 miles $1500 job to replace with upgraded ones 2) The old Ford coils are good only for about 45,000 miles again about $1800 to replace them all and 3) i replaced the clutch at about 50,000 miles as a precaution cost about $7k all in. Of all of them i still enjoy driving the DB7 the most for trips and around town. the motor is incredibly smooth and tractable, Jeremy Clarkson did a show here he demonstrated the car being launched from idle in 4th gear and run up to redline at 140mph without changing gears. Suspension is not stiff like newer Astons but more relaxed and comfortable as suits a GT. Took the car up to Wyoming and went a wee bit over the speed limit en route. It runs like a top. The check engine light remains on and the consensus at the dealership is its a weak #2 bank catalytic converter which still works sufficiently to enable me to pass Colorado's emission testing. In time I will probably replace the converter myself since it appears to be a bolt on with no welding required. Cost of an after market unit: c. $700.
