Not much fading in any. Mbirm19, the paint is in very good shape for the cars age. I don\u2019t believe it\u2019s ever been corrected. No major fading or swirls etc. That being said, it would probably pop with a good clay bar, polish and finish. The car is a thrill to drive and was part of a very large collection that included at least 2 other vipers and everything from model As and Ts to Ferrari\u2019s. Accelerating in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at full throttle produces the most guttural but fantastic sound you could ever imagine. BTW the only reason I stopped at 3rd is that you are already at extralegal speeds at that point. \r\nI have had passengers as young as 10 and as old as 90 in the car. Their reaction to the full throttle acceleration runs are exactly the same\u2026They have a giddy belly laugh that starts at 5000 RPM in first gear that doesn\u2019t stop for a long time after the ride. \r\nl do agree with Aderis on gas mileage. Full throttle acceleration makes the full gauge move almost as quick as the tach. But to be fair, on trips I have achieved 18 MPG but didn\u2019t have nearly as much fun. \r\nMany are unaware of the balance of the car. Even with the V10 up front (that\u2019s right a V10. Lamborghini engineers assisted Dodge in the engine\u2019s development), the amazing thing about this car is that the weight distribution is 48% front and 52% in the rear!!! You can win a few bets with that bit of trivia. Bottom line... the balance is incredible. \r\nAnd pictures do not do the car justice. These cars are show stoppers. You won't be able to go anywhere without someone approaching you...\"This was my ultimate dream car as a kid\", thumbs up from pedestrians, car phones snapping pictures at stoplights or as you pass by on the highway. Because of the limited production of Vipers, (Dodge completed just over 31,850 Vipers during the entire model run while Chevrolet produced about 27,000 Corvettes in 2014 alone) I find that Ferraris and Lambos are more common on the road around here than Vipers. So you don't see yourself coming and going every day. The car is incredibly low and wide and is worth owning just to look at it in the garage. And the rear tires\u2026F1 designers are envious of how wide they are. You don\u2019t realize this until you see one off the car. Date codes ARE important to ride quality as is getting rid of run flats like Littlecaars mentioned below. Fresh tires do have a very positive impact on ride quality. \r\nThe 500 HP with the 6 speed is more than enough but if you are greedy for more, you see them modded out to 1200 HP and more. These cars love to be driven hard and aren't nearly as fragile or as temperamental or as EXPENSIVE to maintain as the Euro or Asian high performance vehicles.
