It's my understanding that this model is particularly well built and that the engines and mechanical components are strong and reliable (assuming regular maintenance is being done). On mine, I have really only had to do oil changes and filter changes so far, which I have done myself. There are good forums available on tackling issues like what you've mentioned, but I haven't personally had any issue with noise or the suspension. I have had a few electrical things (park sensors failing and replacement of the maserati battery to name a couple), but they have been mundane issues especially given that it's an exotic italian car. The one unexpected cost of ownership that I have run into is that this car seems to eat tires much faster than other cars I've had. Daily driving (~10k miles per year on average) had me replacing the tires every 7 months about, with no track days or anything like that - purely commuting with the occasional spirited acceleration... That cost adds up as you might imagine. I have replaced the pirelli tyres with michelins now (I have both michelin summers and winters), and they seem to be lasting longer than the pirellis. The michelin winters are absolutely amazing by the way, and the car handles in the snow perfectly fine. I didn't know much about the GT when I got it, and made the decision mostly on looks at the time. I have absolutely loved the car, and did not expect to enjoy it as much as I have. My own DD is a 2007 Quattroporte Automatica, also with the 4.2 and I\u2019m nigh on 150K miles and she still goes like a bat out of hell. You do need to be mindful of potential variator issues. They went bad in my car at 45K miles, but once the repair is done with the updated parts, you\u2019re good to go.
