There were several interesting bikes; a Benelli Toronado, a Guzzi v7 Sport, a Real Dunstall Norton and a Honda RC30 with about five miles on it. And, there was a Velo Thruxton. I didn\u2019t know much about the value of it and passed on bidding on these others in favor of the Velo. The bike had one of these Avon (?) fairings, same as this one that\u2019s on auction, but the auctioneer said they hadn\u2019t been able to find it. I had no idea that the fairing was indeed relatively easy to still locate. I figured that the bike\u2019s value was finished without the fairing, not realizing it was an aftermarket item. \r\n\r\nAnyhow, the auction was in the parking lot of this former collector\u2019s building. The Velo came up for sale. I bid to $10K, being conservative and not knowing the value. It for for...$10,100! So, I get back to my car after the auction, look up the value. Whaaaaatttt? $25K.
