Certainly not a deal breaker but it will $5-7k to find a low-bow frame and restore it. Some of that cost, of course, can be recouped by the sale of the high-bow frame and top. \r\nThese cars are so much fun to drive and the build quality is phenomenal. I've put mine on a 2-post shop lift and the doors open and close perfectly. Try that with most other open vintage cars.\r\nOne other benefit seldom mentioned about these cars is that maintenance is cheap. Most of those items are relatively inexpensive to fix. I would be far more concerned about the structural integrity of a 356; THAT'S where one of these cars can bury you. If you're not well versed on what to look for a PPI by a 356 expert is highly recommended. Several years ago when I was looking for a Speedster, a well-known vendor had a pr-A for sale. I was buying the car sight-unseen but I enlisted the services of a highly regarded 356 mechanic for a PPI. It turned out that the car had been poorly \"clipped\". The photos of the car obviously did not show this flaw and the vendor never disclosed it. The car was being sold on consignment; it's possible that the vendor didn't even know the car had been clipped.
