But come on people! To pay the price for a BRAND NEW under warranty Wrangler, that is better in every way. With almost 100 more hp, 60 lbs ft tq, and 8 speed automatic, instead of a THREE speed that\u2019s is actually what is in this year Wrangler? Ok sure it won\u2019t be long wheelbase two door hardtop, but a long wheelbase 4 door hardtop! Sorry I just can\u2019t see the high value here. I have actually owned two new Wranglers over the years. The first, was a 1995 S, 2.5/4, 5 speed in black an tan, total stripper with the only option being a rear folding seat, no radio, power steering, or roll up windows, total price of $12,400! NEW! The second was very similar to this one above, a 2006, in all black, 4.0/6, 3 speed automatic that was awful, with a rag top, but roll up windows and AM/FM, no AC. Total price of $ 18,900! I wanted to buy a new Gladiator, after driving Chevy trucks since 2011, with the latest a 2015 Colorado Ext Cab,4x4, V6, but we ended up needing only one vehicle after we both retired, so I wanted a Crew Cab and loved the new Gladiator! But their so dam expensive! For a hardtop, automatic with the heavy tow package,(7,500 lbs), came to no less than $40,000!!! So if I was going to spend that much money I was going to test drive every midsized truck! Where I ended up with another Colorado, a Crew Cab,4x4, V6 WT, that has every option you can get on a Work Truck. Plus 84 mp 100,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty, along with dealer installed ZR2 Skid plate package, that protects everything from the front bumper to transfer case an gas tank. All for just under 34K! But also one other great feature not available on most, but the Jeep an Ford has, but only on top Trim levels, that Chevy calls OnStar 4 G LTE WIFI, with a 7\u201d touch screen with Apple CarPlay!!
