The logic is that the bolt won't loosen when the car is sitting, but from vibrations curing driving. The manual recommends it at 12k miles, and every 24k thereafter (36k, 60k, etc...).\r\n\r\nThis car is very similar to the one I have (2016 spider in Rosso Competizione with 11k miles). I have found the car to accelerate very similar to a Ferrari 360 and have very no needs for repair. Parts that I found online for things I wanted to swap out have been cheap (running lights, etc...). I would rather have a car that put smiles on my face than one that \"retained its value\". \r\n\r\nRetaining value is #732 on my list of criteria if I buy a car or not. \r\n\r\nHere we have yet another 4C with barely any miles on it. Very ironic considering how so many fans here say this is the ultimate driver's car. Were I to buy one of these, it would have thousands of miles added to it the first few months. There's an entire thread on the 4C forums of owners showing their other/winter cars alongside their 4C's. Sure, some owners might be storing their 4C in the garage for \"value\" but a lot of owners do use their cars, yet it's no surprise to me they aren't putting 10k miles p/year on them. The Alfa 4C had an average Miles Per Year (MPY) of 1467.6. The Lotus Elise MPY average is 1336.4. And the MPY of the Ford GT is a whopping 533.2 (including the ~2005 and ~2018 versions).\r\n\r\nSo, while the 4C has low miles, mathematically speaking it is a better driving car than the Lotus Elise. And both are waaay better than that turd Ford GT. I installed the road version of the Alfa9 suspension blocks, but I don't really think those are necessary to calm the handling down. the main thing is to have zero, or very slight tow in on the rear (too much toe in will cause pretty fast tire wear in concert with the camber), and a small amount of tow in on the front. I then took my '97 F-355 spider on the exact same route. My car is gated and i pushed her like mad on the same route. I love the Alfa and am looking to buy one for my wife, but it is NOT the ultimate handling car by any stretch. The Ferrari blew it away in the chicanes, and it a much better car for touring. For about $ 65-70K one can buy a really nice 355 spider. For the high $ 40's-low 50's you can buy one of these alfas.
