Previous 40 year owner started the restoration process. Only guessing, but suspect he would have removed it, and in the lapse in time is probably lost. That owner past away less than 2 weeks after I purchased it. \r\n2) the Monza cross on the front is from a 1964 Corvair Monza.....same as all others I\u2019ve seen on the Monza Jr. The Corvair Museum has a complete original on display, which I\u2019ve scrutinized closely. This Monza cross fits exactly like that one. The \u201clong\u201d portion of the cross is curved and conforms to the contour of the body,,,,the same contour of the fender mount on the early model Corvair. The smaller, horizontal portion of the cross is flat, and doesn\u2019t follow the contour of the nose of the car. It is a stock 64 Corvair Monza cross from those original years of production that is identical to any other Monza Jr I have seen. Im 900 miles away from home as this auction started, so I can\u2019t take a close-up picture right now...sorry. I hope my lengthy description above will help.
