He proudly described how satisfying it was to click off the DSC and burn rubber halfway up the block all day long. The facts that the clutch was shot and the first set of tires had already been replaced gave credence to his comments. For the next 110K miles I have expected a lot from the car. I have a few rules--always maintain it per specs, 20-60W oil, no launch mode starts (at least on my watch and despite the prior abuse), never stress a cold powertrain, avoid deep water puddles and really ugly potholes wherever possible, never leave the top down overnight, and keep it in a garage. Otherwise I expect the full range of driving experiences from it, from gentle trundles to the supermarket to screaming blasts through canyon roads; long miles on California freeways, even idling and creeping for an hour waiting for a COVID shot (where the final triage guy said I won the unofficial \"best car all day\" award). Congratulations to both buyer and seller, well done, both of you! Really beautiful car. I have to respond to a comment made by @Satch_Carlson about Crema not holding up so well after 140k miles. My Stratus/Crema has 120,500 on it. I do acknowledge that certain areas of the Crema interior start to show age as time and use take their toll. Worst are the vinyl covered panels at the door sills. If you use the car a lot and wear Ferragamos or Bottegas, you're gonna get scuffs and eventually holes. Of course, now that I'm retired, Vans are easier on 'em. Also oils will cause discoloration of the ashtray lid and several spots on the door cards. The seats hold up surprisingly well, but the color fades somewhat irregularly. It's not terrible, but not pristine. Happily, I found a very good artisan who repaired the holes in my sills, cleaned and conditioned the leather and redyed most all of it with a remarkably perfect color match. the other day I left the top down while in the Supermarket. When I came out, there was an audience. There's something just happy about the way the Stratus over Crema dash looks from the driver's seat on a sunny day with the top down. You might just be using the car for the mundane, but something about it commands you attention.
