I have been able to stick a refrigerator magnet over the sills and all the jack points are solid as I have used them to jack up the car. \r\n As far as the passenger doors go I\u2019m not sure. When I bought the car I noticed that they seemed to have forgotten to mask the window surrounds/frames as that paint was a bit duller and not as new looking as the rest. What this means is that numbers of very good cars are still out there waiting for enthusiasts like us along withj savvy brokers to make the right connections. \n\n I know there is urban folklore that insists that 1750's are \"better revving\" than 2 liters. Trust me, this isn't true. A well tuned 2 liter with good cams, compression, etc., etc. will absolutely transform a Giulia Super where a more humble 1750 will offer only a slight improvement over a 1600. \n\n\nA previous owner has wisely made the correct choice and installed a 2 liter. However, if you delve into the descriptions and photos you will quickly discern that some thoughtful and well informed \"period modifications\" have been made to this car which rather dramatically transform it's performance from a humble 1.3 economy model to the full-tilt road warrior. \n\n\n If you haven't driven a well developed 2 liter Super like this one you are missing one of life's great automotive experiences. As we've seen here on BAT, sometimes they do but, then, often they don't. \n\nMy take on this phenomena is that if you embark on modifying an old Alfa (as I'm doing) you should do so because you want to build the car you want. Simply put, do the stuff you like but don't expect to get your money out of the extras on resale because, most likely, you won't. I know this may be disappointing for some---and believe me this is the exact kind of Giulia sedan I like---but I just think it prudent understand that mods don't always add monetary value to a collector car. \n\nBut what they really do (and what the previous owner obviously did) is put together a sequence of well-considered modifications that dramatically transformed the performance of a generic1300 TI. As I mentioned earlier you really have to drive one of these cars to fully appreciate what this kind extra performance can do for one's driving experience. In my opinion, that alone is what makes performing period-appropriate modifications so attractive. \n\n\nNote to @hawkman2213 These cars make perfect cross-country conveyances. Do a good service then fly-in and then drive your \"new\" beauty home. When I was looking for the Super I finally bought, if I'd come across an equally attractive Berlina I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. \n\nBerlinas have their own charm; their more discrete styling makes them even more \"sleepers\" than corresponding TI's and Supers. The driving dynamics of Berlinas verses Supers are predictably similar since both use the same suspension design. The Berlina is slightly longer so it's a bit less \"chuckable\" than a Super but then it's arguably a slightly better highway cruiser with better rear-seat room than a Super. \n\nAll the go-faster mods found on hawkman's Super will bolt right on a comparable Berlina.
