That was the exact car, year, color I bought as my first new car in my early 20s upon entering the job market. Mine attracted a lot of attention at the time -- as in stolen (or attempted) every four months of my first year of ownership. The *only* thing I'd have changed would have been to swap-out the 85 MPH speedometer with the one starting in 1984 that went into triple digits. (I found it a little challenging doing the math off the tachometer to calculate my speed while zipping along flat-out at 130MPH.) That car is especially noteworthy when looked at in the context of the era.
