Any of these including the one here are easily able to be daily drivers if serviced properly. The more you drive them the better. Mechanical changes were made resulting in great improvements in performance and reliability versus the earlier cars. That being said, my 1993 Turbo R has been a great car with very few issues in the past seventeen years of ownership. Airbag and autoride suspension were added in 1990 and I have had no issues with the latter but I did have the rear shocks replaced when I bought it from the dealer in St. Louis in 2004 and they were $650 each back then! The much discussed head gasket issues appear in 1994 with the introduction of Zytek engine management and go all the way until 2007 with the exception of the 1999 Arnage which had a BMW 4.4 V8. Just drive them, service them, and enjoy them. I purchased it from the second owner who had purchased it from the original owner in 1991 with 36k on the odometer. Both lived in Michigan and the car was always in a heated air conditioned garage and never driven in any bad weather. Then in 2009 the second owner moved to Arizona.......he also had a house in California but like any car buff he had all his cars registered in AZ not CA because of all the red tape CA puts you through. I bought the car in early 2012 and took it to a few car shows I sold the car to the present owner in late 2012. I did change the oil when I first got it and now it has had three oil changes in less then 700 miles. We have been treating the car like fine art and just enjoying it for its looks and not for just transportation. Yes, I know they are made to be driven and the more you do the more they like it. But who has the time or the good weather to do such a thing. We all have been just saving the car for the next lucky owners. Of all the Silver Clouds and Silver Shadows I have owned in my years being a member of the RROC this was one of my favorites, you just can not get over the look of this car.
