And I shipped a 1 owner 73 Q code to my daughter on the west coast . Also with A/C and power windows. These cars drive way nicer than the older 64-68 body styles. You can feel safe driving the cars on the turnpike at 80 plus all day. This may only be my opinion, but I also have a 68 to compare it to. I will agree with many that this body style has not recieved the love of the older body styles and because of that I think they represent great relative value . Once sorted, they can easily become an almost daily driver with limited downside . We had the 351C rebuilt with a roller cam and lifters, and with Torino 4V heads (same as on Pantera I believe). Also added a Ford AOD 4spd, and kept the stock 2.75 rear gears for highway cruising but added an Eaton TruTrack posi. It's great. It's an easy driver and it pulls to 6k+ rpms or you can cruise around at 1500. 75+ is no issue either all day long and gets real decent mpg actually on the highway. \r\nI then went the 'turn fast' route and stiffened it up with 700# variable front springs, added a leaf rear springs with lowering blocks, larger front sway bar & added one to the back (it never had one), and welded subframe connectors. 17x8 with 245s in front and 17x9 with 275s in back. Stock brakes but changed to EBC Yellow pads, it stops well enough.\r\nAlso went to a Holley 650 4bbl carb with race floats, stock pump, and electronic dist.\r\nIt's a little stiff but I like it, it's predictable and you can toss it around, and those clover-leaf style highway on-ramps are a blast! Not a full build but also not crazy expensive. Ours is sentimental as well, our family has owned it since 1980. The undercarriage is in need of some serious attention -- not too sure that's all \"surface\" rust.
