I recently connected mine up and they work great! No need to pump the gas pedal on cold startup. In fact, per the Mikuni manual, if using the starter circuits you're not supposed to touch the throttle at all. I first rode in one back in the mid-eighties in a friend's 510 in San Diego. He had a full tilt Don Potter 2 liter in it and routinely harassed 5.0 Mustangs. The car got stolen (another story), but aside from the sweet yowl of the Mikuni 44s on that Potter motor, I never forgot about those seats. Flash forward ~35 years and I now have a set in my 510 and have racked up thousands of road miles in them, and they are every bit as I had remembered them.
