It would also depend on the paint quality under the wrap, and whether you wanted a Rolls Royce quality paint job, or a \"good enough\" paint job.\r\n\r\nIf the paint under the wrap is actually good, then I'd just reverse the wrap job. Peel off the wrap, leaving the matching areas exposed, and wrap the bottom half of the car in matte black (or whatever you want) instead. \r\n\r\nCover up the bad stuff, not the good stuff. It'd still have the phenomenal two-tone look that works so well on Phantoms, and it'd be cheap, easily under $5k.\r\n\r\nThe problem is, you don't know whether the stuff under the wrap has the same mismatched paint - until after you've already bought the car. If the wrap-covered trunk has the same mismatched paint problem as the rear quarter panels, now you're either facing a big repaint job - or wrapping your Phantom. Me personally, I like wrapped cars, so I wouldn't have a problem with it, as long as the price stayed way under the other EWB cars on the market. Here is my take on it. The seller knew that he had a reserve of 97,250 . The seller had a bid placed for $97,000 knowing that the next bid would hit the reserve. He foolishly thought that no one would notice a $30,000 bump from the prior bidding. Next he or someone that he has control of placed the bid figuring if no one goes higher he's got nothing to lose. Bring a trailer on the other hand is a tad bit smarter than the seller. They had an inkling I suspect, and instead of it being a no sale they simply took off the $250.00 from the commission that would be due and considered it a sale. Now the seller will have to find another market for it. It appears that the seller might've done this prior with a Continental convertible.
