My '86 2CV with 602cc hits 75 mph at 5,000-ft altitude, but headwinds and hills slow it. I usually avoid interstates but have learned to draft trucks and RVs. For '65 the slanted rear lights panel is correct, so are the grill and the door handles. I can't tell if it has disc brakes which would be another benefit, but if it has the original gearbox with drum brakes then it would be geared different than the later 2CV6 so that could explain the different feel in power. This looks like a great car to enjoy. I have 3 at the moment but have worked on dozens starting in the early 70s when all these improvements were introduced.
