I bought it in the late 80's from a Greek immigrant named Spiro. I brought it back to life, then sold it in 1994 or so. The engine was changed to a 1600 before I acquired the car. When I got it, the engine would not run and needed a total rebuild. The paint was all cracked and needed to be stripped. I chose to change it to AR 103 ivory (avorio), because it looks great. I kept everything as original as I could and repaired what needed fixing at the time. I remember travelling to Connecticut to an Alfa specialist to get hard-to-find original parts for it. \r\nI'm very gratified to see that it has been well cared for these past 30 or so years. This was the coolest car I ever owned. Since it's an Italian market car, the speedometer was in Km/h, so I remember having to convert the speed to miles in my head all the time. I loved that car so much. If I hadn't moved abroad, I would have NEVER sold it. The Junior, being the minimalist model, was cooler than the Sprint GT Veloce, and this one, having a 1600 under the hood, was the best of both worlds. The climate control doesn\u2019t work\u2026but the engine is strong; the Spica FI is well tuned and I just rebuilt the suspension using the Alfaholics kit\u2026and she\u2019s a dream to drive.
