Depending upon how \"spirited\" these cars are driven damage is certainly possible well within the 16k miles on this car's clock. The only way to determine if the damage has started is to inspect the car. I commented on this issue before, so just look up my prior comments. But here's a short thread on Pelican Parts website: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-z3-z4-forum/244843-z3-subframe-differential-mount-failure.html There's a ton of info online regarding this matter. The Randy Forbes reinforcement/repair kit is, I think, the most popular way of addressing this issue.\n\nNow that all said, it is unlikely, just based upon average stats, that this M Roady has experienced any damage. The photos that I have suggested could provide substantial evidence that no such damage exists. But regardless of whether damage exists now, if one plans to drive the car moderately hard to very hard, reinforcement of the differential mount, the bracket to which the mount is attached and the trunk floor (to which the bracket attaches) is definitely recommended.
