I have ridden in it a few times with the owner and over the last year (after the sudden passing of the owner), I and another club member have made sure the car was started and driven on occasion. The owner spared no expense to keep the Jag up to his standards, as evidenced by engine work he had done by Coventry West. \r\n As far as the pictures that were taken, that was the choice of the photographer from Bring A Trailer and was not intended to hide any problems with the finish. I must say, having seen this car multiple times, I was very disappointed in the photos. Dark colored cars in a dark setting rarely photograph well. The photos did a good job of showing the blemishes, but did a poor job of highlighting the rich overall finish which in my opinion is striking. The contrast of the deep dark blue paint and the beautiful chrome make this car a classic \"head turner\". \n\nThe former owner: To describe him as being meticulous would be a gross understatement. I can only assume the dent shown in one of the hub caps occurred after his passing!! In addition to this Jag, he also owned two Austin Healey 3000s that were trailer queen/concourse quality. No expense was ever spared on any of his cars. He personally maintained all of them and I know for a fact the former owner regularly changed the fluids in all of his cars and would only use Amsoil with the ZDDP additive.
