Until I purchased my 1991 164 L, then the next year I purchased my 164S.\nI kept my 164S for 11 years. I now own a 1985 Callaway GTV6. This 1981 has some interesting updates. The rebuilt drive line is. A big plus. The interior updates are great. As is the new paint and wheels(I just installed the same wheels on my Callaway). The ventilated rear brakes and headers are very neat to have. As are the shocks. The only thing left to do. Would be an under carriage refresh.\nJust for my over the top desire for visual perfection . I am sure It functions just fine. I had lowered mine with the Shankle adjustable torsion bars and Koni's. One early Sunday morning driving up to Tuscaloosa from south Alabama when I was a professor there, I distinctly remember the road sound muting as I passed 105, and then how when I slowed down to 75 as I got close to town, the sound came back in and it felt like I was crawling. Unbelievable aerodynamics flattening you to the ground. Big wiper blades moving slowing across the windshield that you really didn't need at speed. The GTV6 I had was not quite as stable as the 4-banger.
