The problems that you'll run into on one of these ill advised swaps are endless, but briefly the worst problems will be the rear engine/ trans mount as there is a cross member in the way that picks up the rear mounting for the torsion bars. This cannot be removed as the torsion bars will have no place to anchor. Also, there is no strength in the firewall, so there is no place to mount the brake master cylinder, and there is no room under the floor boards for a brake master cylinder and booster. Also, the steering column will be in the way of any V8 engine, and you can not install U-joints in the column as then you'll loose the stator tube and the steering controls in the center of the wheel. There are a zillion other problems that you'll run into, and by the time you finish this project you have a car that all Riley collectors will turn their noses up at. Also it's a transition car, having features of an RMF such as the larger rear window, ashtrays in the door panels and dashboard instead of the in the door cappings as on a RMB, also it's got the slide up tire compartment door typical of the RMF's Unfortunately, it still has the old style RMB Girling hydo-mechanical brakes. The full hydraulic system of the RMF's was a big improvement.
