I have loved every mile I have driven and never considered having a gem like this without enjoying it to the fullest. I have tried to stick with minor mods focused on handling. It is being replaced by a Cayman S but it is a testament to these cars that at 20 yrs old, it is a bit of a toss up which one gets the drive to work in the morning .\r\n\r\nI believe the ECU is a hard chipped OSB1 from a civic. I will post some pictures. The check engine light is not on. The only point to note is that it does not pick up the key chip lock out. So it can be started with a key without the chip. This has never been an issue for me. I am providing the original which can be reinstalled to go back to pure stock. I will be selling them separately. I bought the pair and installed the drivers side JDM to try to save the original seat. My plan was also to eventually use the material from one of the JDM to replace the bolster material on the original. I looked into it and instead decided to leave it as is and let the new owner decide what to do.\r\n\r\nI bought the car in 2005 with just under 30,000 km. I bought it from a dealer and was told the car had been driven by a Honda executive. After sitting and not being driven for 2 years the fellow needed the space and decided to have it sold through the dealer. When I bought it, it was lowered on H&R springs (can be included in sale) and had the cold air intake. Everything else was still original, including tires. The 250 quoted by various media outlets is incorrect. \n\nOnly 2001 CDM received the red seats front and rear while 97-00 received black front and rear same as USDM. Note that these are not Recaro. For anyone who has lost their radio code, your local Acura dealer can provide the code to you with your VIN. A note that the red mats included are for the RHD JDM ITR. In Canada AC was optional for all years and is a relatively rare option. The kit was shipped to the dealer to install prior to delivery. \n\nThis is a chance for someone to get a driver ITR that you can continue to drive and enjoy. I had it rust proofed by the dealer (wax based) and then had it done at Krown/rust check every year (you can see some of these on the car fax). I did this for close to 10 yrs. The rust proofing gets obsorbed by the plastic and it expands (just slightly). Over the 10 yrs this expansion on the longer pieces of plastic resulted in them becoming wavy. This has happened on both the side skirts and back bumper. See pics 108, 110 and 61. The rubber between the front bumper and the front fenders also expanded. These were replace when it was painted in 2008 so there is only slight expansion now and I replaced the rubber seal on the hood as it was really bad. \r\n\r\nOver the years, when I stopped winter driving, I have tried to remove the wax. Alot of it is still on the underside, can be seen on the inside infront of the doors, in the wheel wells and in some places in the engine bay. I also put a rubber bed liner around the rear wheel wells edges to try to stop the typical Honda rust in this area. This later caused the paint to peal off/chip. However it did stop the rust.\r\n\r\nDo these need to be replaced? It is difficult to see these areas so it did not bother me. For me it was more important to keep them original.\r\n\r\nDamage more than stated? - When I bought the car I was not told it was clean. It was a shock when I saw the carfax for this posting and the claim in 2001. It appears it got added 3yrs after I owned the car. All I can say is that there were only a few minor dents that I noticed (other then the hood) and that once repaired there were none. The work was done by a reputable shop that specializes in Acura/Honda. The name of the shop is on the estimates I attached below if you want to look them up.\r\n\r\nThe lines in the trunk are where the trunk floor (plastic sheet) sits. Over time the foam rubber padding wore down and the plastic moving around wore through the paint. In an effort to stop the risk of rust, I covered the bare metal with grey primer. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that the primer is starting wear off again and the bare metal is showing through.\r\n\r\nThe metal crash bar portion of the rear bumper was rusting (I understand this is pretty common) so I replaced it with a new OEM bar. I included the pictures to show the condition of the car behind the bumper/lights etc. You can see the new one installed in pic 404.
