Took it to Park City Utah for an AHRMA national. I had won the 125 expert race in Johnstown Colorado on it earlier. Got to Park City and had to rejet. What a pain that bracket system is holding on the air cleaner bell. Stout yes but you don\u2019t want to rejet between Motos!\nAt any rate I got it sorted and promptly blew the transmission in practice. A fellow competitor ( great guy from Logan Utah) loaned me a Penton 125. He said \u201cit\u2019s pretty slow but at least you\u2019ll have something to ride\u201d. For some reason his Penton 125 was the slowest I\u2019ve ever ridden! I pulled back into the pits after one lap. My Husqvarna in practice would pull the Park City track\u2019s hills easily. The 35mm forks were used on the larger Husqvarna\u2019s, 125\u2019s typically came with Betor forks and the Leilu hubs. I say \u201ctypically\u201d because I\u2019ve have heard in the past that the first 50 Husqvarna 125\u2019s came with the 35mm forks and possibly the larger conical hubs (supply issues?)? I have seen 1 equipped this way though I don\u2019t know if the 35mm forks and conical hubs have ever been officially confirmed. \n\nAre the chrome panels the actual tank or is it a decal.\n\nI was fortunate enough to race a pre production prototype on the Waggaman National track close to New Orleans before the bikes were released to the public. They were trying to get more power from the engine with some porting changes and a very unique exhaust. I currently own the first 175 that was manufactured and shipped to the USA (basically the same bike with a blue tank) and also a 1973 125CR that is in pieces but the original tank is in near new condition. \n\nYou have a beautiful bike. It\u2019s been a long time ago and the bike was out in the Glendora area so possibly it was yours. I lived in Los Angeles for 44 years and have a lot of friends in the motorcycle industry (some worked for Husqvarna and for John Penton). I have a friend in Agoura that has a 125 with the larger forks on it. It belonged to a friend of his who had purchased the bike new and they raced together in the east. His friend called him one day and asked him if he would like to have the bike and he jumped at the chance to become the second owner.\r\n Sorry I can\u2019t be more help on the differences, that it\u2019s been too many years ago but as you stated they put on the bikes what they had and updated bikes as new parts became available. \r\nI, like you, have more projects than I\u2019ll ever get finished. \r\n\r\nNice sale on a beautiful bike.", "likes": 0, "timestamp": 1723433526, "type": "comment"}]
