The 5 speed trans uses a shorter (numerically higher) 1st gear making launch easier, requiring less skill for a smooth take off,likely making the car more appealing to the average driver. This is a rare car a 89 G50. I have a turbo G50 LSD 5spd. My experience with the g50 is that it\u2019s easier to keep in the power band and more drivable in the city. Once you get some wind in those turbos they move and keep the hair on your neck standing up reminiscent of the 965. \r\n\r\n89 930 is another unique ride clearly only made for the one year and I am assuming is much like the 91-92 3.3l 965's. Although the rarity of the 3.6T with only 335 imported to the US and another 15 to Canada it leaves very few to choose from assuming you can find a decent one for sale. Although the info I have says that only 481 not the 639 noted above of these 89's were imported to the US and another 36 to Canada. I am not sure if this is one of the 156 C08 california cars, it doesn't appear to be although I am surprised these only had 282hp vs the 91 which was rated at 320bhp. Price delta is huge as well with base price nearly $30k more by 1991. I suspect these are an equally rare beast these days. I haven't been keeping a close eye on this market so I am assuming we aren't close to reserve, at least I would let this go for this little. Not a fan of white cars but she is a beauty I wouldn't mind owning but I am up to 12 cars and running out of space. \r\n\r\nI keep my racing for the track in my 964 3.8RSR or 964 cup car/ex club racer tributes. I have had a few open road occasions against cars on paper that should be faster and the 965 never fails. Second and third gear pull like no tomorrow. These cars are very underrated and are a unique experience. I have a friend with an 86 he recently rebuilt the engine on and they do quite well. They might have less power but they also weigh less. My one issue with them is the 4 speed box so this IMO is the perfect 930.\r\n\r\nThis wasn't on my radar so thanks for bringing me into the conversation as I am looking forward to what this sells for. Ive had alot of offers over the years but mine not for sale, i cant think of any other car i would enjoy as much and i love the 4 speed in 2nd (goes to about 90 till i get redline) and 3rd gear its a beast at boost. these cars are keepers if you enjoy excellent handling with quick acceleration... mine got 17' speedlines. im currently building a 3.3 to 3.4 performance 930 engine for a client now.
