This S4 has been a fun car that always gets compliments. My wife and I borrowed it one afternoon and wound up owning it for seven years. \r\n\r\nWe have mostly used the car to drive back and forth from Astoria to Long Beach, WA, with longer trips to PDX or Sea-Tac to pick up visiting family and friends. \r\n\r\nWe took it on a 2,100 mile round trip to Paso Robles, CA last year, US101 both ways, enjoying every mile of the Oregon Coast and the California Redwoods. That was one of the few times that the car spent the night uncovered, and one of the few times that it has been driven in the rain. \r\n\r\nThe color is stunning and varies depending on the light. A friend did the drive by videos and the photos that were taken on a very sunny day near The Columbia River. I took the photos at The Column on a partly-sunny fall afternoon. I did my best to video the undercarriage while it was on the lift. \r\n\r\nOutside of regular service, and a full detailing at least once a year, the only modification we've made to the car was installing Michelin Pilot Sport 265/35's about 3,000 miles ago. The 255's seemed just a bit narrow- I think the 265's look just right. Photos of all four date codes are in the gallery.\r\n\r\nI set the reserve at the number that BaT suggested, which is well below what the last Nogaro Blue S4 offered on BaT brought. I trust that it will reach reserve and will announce when it does.\r\n\r\nHappy to answer any questions. The Escape isn't great for trips out of town, but it's our go-to car to run around town- so easy to park when running errands! Obviously, there could be something we aren't aware of and there a probably more knowledgable BAT members about the B8.5 that could speak to that. \r\n\r\nAlso, @BAT, the description lists this S4 as a B8, but it's actually a B8.5. The updated & facelifted B8.5 was released starting in 2013.\r\n\r\nAnd this is such an amazing car. The new owner will be very happy with it. Great exhaust sound, quattro for snow, killer stereo, and Nagaro appeal and uniqueness. Change belts and spark plugs q 50k miles, regular oil changes, brakes and rotors twice. I am available through the auction finish time and will check regularly for messages.\n\nIn reviewing the 200+ photos I noted that the San Luis Obispo Country Club Estates security decal that was in the \u201csunny day\u201d photos taken by the Old Train Station next to the Columbia River was removed, but otherwise the car looks exactly the same today as when I took the photos at the Astoria Column on my way to put it on the lift last week.\n\nIn my initial post, I promised to announce when the reserve has been met. BaT reminds us to \u201cnever discuss the reserve while it\u2019s in place\u201d and I have done my best not to mention for the past five days that the current bid is extremely close. Looking forward to at least one more bid so that I can make that announcement.\n\nAlso, big thanks to those who own similar cars who have shared how much fun they are to drive and own, like @lovee36s who know that these motors are bullet proof, and @MagicLou1972 who can attest that completely original/stock cars like this can be made even faster with minor modifications and upgrades. This car has also been completely trouble free- the hardest part was finding Michelin 265\u2019s during Covid, and we took care of that.\n\nTwenty+ years ago I was commuting up to 180 miles per day. After a lifestyle change that eliminated the need for a commute, my wife and I now average about 180 miles per month on each of the four cars that we drive \u201cregularly\u201d with this S4 averaging about 100 miles per month. Our collector vehicles are driven even fewer miles. Having purchased two new vehicles over the summer, it\u2019s time to let someone else to start adding miles and enjoying what this rare and beautiful S4 was made to do.\n\nThat said, this morning I woke up with a touch of seller\u2019s remorse.
