It's as dialed of a 510 as you will find. This car was the original test bed for Troy Ermish's Stage 2 Coilovers and has every detail worked out. The turbo spoils so fast that I had to install traction control. Now when it spools in the corner while in 2nd gear it will just step out a little, it used to just whip the backend and you'd be heading for the guard rail. Also to note, I had a brand-new custom carpet kit and floor mats made (expensive) for this car just months ago. I couldn't buy a premade kit as the transmission tunnel is all custom built. Reason being is to get the correct driveline angles in a 510 I had to drop the motor as low as possible (and make custom mounts) and raise the back of the transmission appx 2\", hence the custom tunnel. Currently only running 12psi. The car is fast enough so I have not cranked it higher. The turbo is small and runs out of efficiency/increases IAT's if you push harder. The new motor/turbo now pulls all the way to 8k RPM's by using boost by gear and increasing the demand on the wastegate as the rpm's climb. Boost pressure holds to redline now. If someone wants to wick it up then have at it but it's plenty fast enough as is. You could run it at 18psi and get around 300whp if you wanted to. Peak torque at 3200rpm, flat all the way to redline is a nasty little bugger. I spent the money and time to build the motor just to sell a 100% bullet proof car for the next owner. @RacerX69 the top cap is the coolant expansion tank. I spent a lot of time trying to find an elegant solution and, in the end, elegant was just making a tank on top of the radiator. I was running pump gas, 92octane. When I bought the Speedhut gauges I meant to order the GPS unit but instead got the speed sensor version. I only hooked up the speed sensor when I installed the power steering a couple months ago. It shows 268mi because before I calibrated the sensor it thought it was going really, really fast ;). Motor has less than 10mi. So for history. I've driven the car less the 2k miles in the 14yrs I've owned it. I spent from 2010 to 2018 building this car originally. After the first car show it was selected to spend 6 months at Lemay Auto Museum at a Tuner Exhibit. Over time I kept working on and improving the car to the point where last year I had it stored in a shelter to keep it safe. What happened was it became a moisture trap and not only ruined the paint, molded the interior but it corroded almost every nut and bolt. It was at that point I decided to sell it as I was very frustrated. What became apparent was nobody wanted to pay top dollar for a project because that's what it became. I decided I was the best person to make it the best car it could be. I put together a list of everything I would ever want to do to the car and set about doing it. It took the last six months, every spare moment I had. The paint had a bit of damage and the engine bay was the color I originally picked out for the car, a Jeep gray. I had the engine bay, under hood, door jambs, inside doors and body all reshot. I replaced all seals with new Datsport seals including quarter window frames (the worst job ever), a brand new windshield, modified the roll cage to look nicer and painted it, brand new custom carpet and mats, I made a panel to cover all the passenger foot well wiring, installed power steering, built a brand new motor with machine work done by a master machinist with brand new turbo and fully ceramic coated the exhaust from head to tip. Diff is a 3.7 Clutch pack LSD. I had a 4:11 and 1st gear was useless and highway rpm's were a killer. Axles are Dadzsun. If you want to wick it up to 18psi I'd put 930 axles in to be safe. 5 speed is a 240sx unit. I was told the motor and tranny had 100k. It shifts smooth and never had an issue. Ebarake you found. It was in the transmission tunnel before but I wanted cup holders... ;) Power steering was bought from Silvermine. Not sure what unit they use. It's speed sensing so it progressively reduces assistance as speed increases. Tuners were Turbogixxer and Intec Racing. Neither specialize in Nismotronics but they do tune it and do it well. Any tuner can tune Nismotronics. It's just Fuel and Ignition Maps. If they say no, then they just don't want to, not that they can't. I owned a 1972 510 2 door that was in Super Street magazine in 2014 and was featured at JCCS three years. I had a Rebello Racing L18 that made 171hp and 151tq, 280zx 5 speed, r180 diff, etc... I spent around 11k on building that set up and the supporting mods to get into that car and down the road. I did it all myself so there were no labor charges except on machine work. My buddy had a KA24DE in his 510 with ITB's, JWT cams and headers. That car would pull mine and was so much more reliable. The Rebello L18 sounded better but his was half the money and much faster. I always wanted to sell my set up and swap in an NA KA24DE but I was forced to sell the car due to an unexpected last minute military transfer right before JDM values took off.
