This should be even easier since it was originally a US car.\r\nHere's a few tips about Alberta that helped me: Ask the seller to obtain a duplicate registration and a seven day \"in transit\" permit from the Alberta Motor Vehicles Department. Use the bill of sale document provided by Alberta, signed accordingly. My state (PA) requires a VIN verification form. If your state needs one, this might help. I sent the seller in Alberta my PA form, and he took the car to his local constable to get signed.\r\nIn PA I was able to submit for a title and plate with all the forms before going to get the car and importing it. That's when I used the duplicate registration from Alberta, so I could have the original to show the CBP. It still took three weeks to get a plate from PA. Other states may be different. A write off! Hit the car mid license plate and almost sheared off the engine up to the drivers door. Wheels untouched. If you looked at the car from the passenger side it looked perfect. From the driver's side, it was crushed. Unfortunately the chassis was bent as evidenced by a crease in the roof, otherwise I would have seriously considered repairing her. Needless to say, the owner of the repair shop had a chat with his young employee!! We ended up buying a 2004 Acura MDX and had that for 12 years.
