I bought it sight unseen off of eBay a few years back. It's a non original car. Has a 1750 engine, and a later dash, not the ribbon speedometer.\r\nBTW, it is titled as a 1966, but Fusi has it as a 1965\r\n\r\nSince I got it, here's the work that I've done to it, off the top of my head:\r\nAll new brakes, rotors, calipers, pads, master brake cylinder, booster\r\nNew wheels 15/5.5j, the only minilite style wheels in 15\" that I could find that could be installed without rubbing in the rear (original wheels included in the sale)\r\nNew tires in 2016\r\nRefinished spare and put new tire on\r\nNew gas tank, and replaced all fuel hoses\r\nThe Weber carbs were professionally rebuilt by Gordon Raymond\r\nReplaced center bearing and u-joints (still a bit of an issue when backing up though, have to feather the clutch a bit)\r\nNew handbrake cable to make it functional\r\nNew 3 point seat belts installed replacing the 2 points\r\nNew tach cable\r\nNew wiper arms and wipers\r\nNew mirrors (3)\r\nNew Aluminum Radiator\r\nNew v-belt\r\nNew fan\r\nReplaced the fog lights (not connected/working yet)\r\nNew wood veneers on the dash\r\nReupholstered the interior in gorgeous red leather including the bottom door cards\r\nRecovered the dash top\r\nNew carpet with Dynamat beneath\r\n\r\nThe bad\r\nI think the rockers are pretty solid from what I can tell. Some damage on the driver side due to a trailering mishap\r\nOne of the jacking points looks bad....but I've had the car on 4 jack stands and it was fine\r\nThe PO put in new floor pans (looks home made) on top of the floor pans that we rusty. Lousy job, but it works\r\nLots of small electric issues still need sorting, some dash lights don't work, fog lights, wipers\r\nA little surface rust here and there, and I suspect there's some bondo present\r\nPaint job is not the best, looks great from a bit of distance!\r\nDoor strikers seem to need some adjustment, I can't seem to figure it out\r\nHeadliner is dirty\r\nClock is not operational, but is right twice a day\r\nDoes leak some oil, of course, but at least doesn't seem to burn any, no blue smoke\r\nCould use a suspension rebuild\r\n\r\nI think that's about it, although I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff...... \r\nDon\u2019t expect a perfect car, but it\u2019s presentable. The soft trans mount lets the engine/trans hop in reverse, you get a sort of feedback loop that causes rear axle hop in reverse, especially uphill. Long-known problem, the factory TSB on it is a hood bumper in the trans mount to stop the trans moving fore/aft. It was totally solved by the hydraulic clutch that was introduced with the 1750. Does this car have a hydraulic clutch? I forget. If so, could still be trans and engine mounts. Alfa used very soft ones compared to most makers. The driveshaft can move up and down a lot too, hitting the tunnel.
