I am recently retired from Hendrick Motorsports where I was one of the NASCAR Engine Builders for the past 28 years, I leased this car from my boss, Rick Hendrick at his Charlotte BMW Northlake dealership in early 2017 where it had been the General Manager's demo. He special ordered it from BMW to be the demo he always wanted and I received the nod when he was ready to order his next one. It has always gone to BMW Northlake for each scheduled maintenance according to elapsed time. We never met the odometer miles limit as I just drove the car ten miles to work and back each day. The oil has been changed by BMW three times during the 11k odometer miles; they always called me when it was due and came and got it. I have never driven the car on the Highways because of the risk of stone chips out there. We had a professional Adam's Detail shop perform paint correction, apply Adam's Graphene Ceramic coating and install thin clear protectant film wraps on the front end parts for additional paint protection. We always used secondary roads and did not drive in the rain as we have other cars we use during bad weather. By the way, Adam's removed all the wheels on their lift to do a proper detail job and reinstalled the wheels using a torque wrench. This car has not ever used any oil. The oil level always stays at the top and it has never exhibited any other issues at all either. Everything works the way BMW engineered it. We mainly just changed the oil and brake fluid during the time we've had it. The car has proven to be so good during the lease term that we decided we wanted to purchase it at the end of the lease. We also bought the Platinum Hendrick Autoguard Full Coverage Extended Warranty which is transferrable and good for six more years or 80,000 miles. At the most recent Hendrick BMW service visit we replaced the rear tires with the exact same new Pirelli's due to tread wear down to 3mm.The tires were always maintained at the correct recommended pressure with Nitrogen and we have a Nitrogen bottle here at home with a regulator to keep up with them. I mainly bought this car because of its optics and the high visibility job I held at the time. I think we forgot to mention the exhaust system has the factory installed actuators at the silencers that change the sound of the exhaust note depending upon throttle position.
