With a kit car virtually every bit is non-standard and each raises its own question mark if it isn't explained or photographed.\r\n\r\nThis one looks to be more Challenge car (roll cage, live axle, fixed doors, etc.) than Mk III, with the sections of the roll bar that run from the base of the windshield up to the main hoop cut off, probably to make it easier to get in and out. It is activated by inertia, much like an airbag. In the event of a massive hit, the inertia activates the internal workings of the switch to shut off the fuel supply. This is important when you have an electric fuel pump, in order to prevent the fuel from being pumped out in the case of an accident. Not sure if this one is automatic, or manually controlled.
