After an inspection, I had some initial work done (see documents) to address the issues found. A year later, I had the engine rebuilt. I had the engine modernized including roller cams so I could stop adding zinc to the oil changes. \r\nPartial receipts on the engine rebuild are listed here, but I could not find the full paperwork. The overall cost of the rebuild cost a touch over 10K. The people that rebuilt the engine told me that I could expect nearly 400 horsepower from the engine, but they did not do any testing to confirm that. So, I take that with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, other than oil changes, the car never really needed anything more. \r\nThe car is kept in a heated garage/workshop on a battery tender under a premium cover. I will include the cover with the car. \r\nThe car runs wonderfully and handles very well. I only drove it when the weather was clear and the roads were dry. We don\u2019t get much sunny weather most of the year in the Northwest, but when you can take the top down for a drive there is nothing better.\r\nIf you have any questions, please let me know. I was asked about the small black box under the hood on the driver side. For those that do not recognize it, this is a separate accessory fuse box. That allows you to connect modern powered accessories without using the car\u2019s original wiring harness. This keeps the load from stressing a system not designed for heavy usage from numerous electrical devices. That way, you don't have to worry about burning out the original wiring harness (which would be a very expensive thing to fix).
