On my last day there the clutch broke and I didn't have enough cash on me to get it repaired and no credit card either so I decided to drive it back home without a working clutch. Whenever I had to stop the car I would turn the engine off, put it in 1st gear, turn the key and the starter motor would get me going again and I then would carefully shift though the gears, did that for 1500 miles without a problem. Regarding the numbers, I am only aware of the numbers being located behind the spare tire and on the frame tunnel (engine was replaced by a prior owner as noted in the description). A prior owner had completely covered the tunnel with insulation. Your question is a good one but honestly I came to know the prior owner and trusted him and the title and registration shows it's a 1967.
