Me and a close friend who is no longer with us drove from the Philadelphia area to Hamilton Ohio, which is near Cincinnati with a tow dolly and met the owner. He was an older gentleman in his 70\u2019s that happened to be over 6 ft tall. He owned the car many years and got regular service done. After we dollyed it home, the starter was bad so i got that rebuilt. Being an enthusiast of micro cars, and having a few in my collection, my father put his foot down and said i couldnt keep it at the house, so i moved it to my brothers garage, where it sat. Then i sold some stuff to make room and moved it to my fathers shed, where once again it sat until when i finally got my own garage, As the years went by i drove between 1000 and 1500 miles. During that time, i rebuilt the master cylinder, front calipers, installed new brakes, put two new front brake hoses on, flushed the brake system and put in new DOT 3 fluid, cleaned out the carburetor, installed new plugs, adjusted the timing, ran a compression test that showed 145 psi- equal on both cylinders and professionally had the drivers seat fixed where there was a tear. Ive been a collector of micro cars for many years, i think i have 7 in storage but this is the only one that is running well. I encourage you to watch the video as i point out some points of interest- where as there are not many 1971 models known to exist according to the Honda registry. Maybe 3 or 4.
