I'm glad to see that the description at this point is inaccurate as the front suspension is clearly an aftermarket setup with contemporary coilover/control arms, rack and pinion steering and most importantly disk brakes. @BaT I suggest the listing deserves an update.\r\n\r\nI went directly to chassis pics because I wouldn't believe it otherwise. I speak from very specific experience. Mid-70's while living and hot rodding on Cape Cod the purveyor of a service station in Truro put his 1949 Chevy 2dr sedan up for sale. He had swapped in the 454 and Turbo 400 from a locally wrecked cop car but otherwise it was totally stock. I specifically remember the column shifter with an antique crystal door knob on it. I was a ponytailed early 20's punk in whatever road outlaw I was driving at the moment. I could have been my street converted Barracuda SCCA A-Sedan race car given the time. He was totally leery of my interest and very reluctantly let me drive it a short distance on Rt 6 after I showed him my wad of cash. Down and back in a straight line between agreed turn arounds. And a straight line car it was! The stock drum brakes were sketchy and meant sawing the steering to keep it in a lane. Probably the most dangerous thing I've ever driven. I didn't buy it, never saw it again and can't imagine it lasted long. At the same time, in Harwich, a local rodder was playing with the same vintage Olds with a hopped up 394 Rocket, I remember the triple carbs. It's an area of narrow winding roads and sure enough he rolled it into a cranberry bog shortly after putting it the on road. \r\n\r\nAll cars of this generation need some help in the chassis, especially with big motors. And a 502 is BIG.
