Overtime the battery was draining. I pulled fuses to trace the drain to the radio. I pulled the radio fuse to stop the drain. When I put the fuse back in I noticed you can use the radio even without the key in the ignition. I am not a mechanic, but after doing some research on this this morning it's possible that the ignition switch might need to be replaced which is a $30 part on Amazon and an hour of work based on a YouTube video. Long Answer - I have two other cars with a key ignition order of Off, Acc, Run and Start (going clockwise). The Jeep ignition order is Acc, Off, Run and Start. The battery drain was cause when the key out in the first position (Acc) which left the radio clock on even when the radio was off. This also explain why the radio worked with the key out. Now the key should not be removable in the Acc position. I switched my 20 year old original key to seldom used backup keys and both of them prevented the key from removal in the Acc position. Based on multimeter testing, internet reading and watching the radio as I cycle through the ignition positions, this issue should be resolved. I'm glad this was addressed before the end of the auction.
